El Guille Open comes back to PGA Ocean's 4 in benefit of the most needy families

With the motto "to step on cement," this tournament began 21 years ago and its purpose is to help build cement floors in extremely poor homes.

“El Guille Open Foundation (FEGO)”, a non-profit company which organizes a golf tournament every year to benefit poor families, held the now traditional XXI Wind Telecom Rotary Cup last Saturday August 3rd  at the PGA Oceans'4, in Playa Nueva Romana, with the participation of more than 100 players.

With the funds raised in the last edition's tournament, 22 apartments were delivered in the area of Brisas del Este, Riviera del Caribe, Los Frailes and Los Valientes, surpassing the 1,300 families helped in the 21 years that the tournament has been running.

The evening was led by Dr. Guillermo Santana (El Guille), president of the foundation and his wife, Gina Eli, who highlighted that: “On this occasion we have been able to achieve, with the support of sponsors and players, the funds to build 40 apartments. additional. He added that “it is a call to conscience and generosity to help improve the quality of life of people who, even within the urban area, live in conditions of extreme poverty.”

Santana also reiterated his gratitude to the sponsors of this year's version, in addition to Wind Telecom and Cementos Argos, Banreservas, ARS Senasa, Humano Seguros and with the support of PGA Oceans4 – Playa Nueva Romana among others.
