  • Grupo Piñero’s Real Estate & Golf division reinforces its leadership in the Caribbean with three awards at the World Golf Awards 2025.

Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. November 13, 2025. Grupo Piñero’s Real Estate & Golf division has consolidated its position as a leading reference for golf in the Caribbean after receiving three prestigious awards at the 12th edition of the World Golf Awards 2025. These awards, voted on by industry professionals, media and golf consumers worldwide, recognize the excellence and quality of the company’s developments and facilities.

In the Dominican Republic, PGA Ocean’s 4, located within the Playa Nueva Romana complex, was awarded “Dominican Republic’s Best Golf Course 2025.” This recognition adds to the award received last summer from the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO), which named it “Best Golf Course of the Americas 2025”, in recognition of its course quality, maintenance, player service and innovation capacity.

PGA Ocean’s 4 stands out as an exceptional golf destination due to its versatility and high standards. It is the only golf course in the Dominican Republic affiliated with the PGA of America and also the first fully illuminated executive course in the country, allowing for night golf experiences.

The complex offers visitors the opportunity to play overlooking the Caribbean Sea in a privileged setting, featuring 27 holes in total: a challenging 18-hole championship course (par 72) for advanced players, and a shorter 9-hole course (par 27) ideal for beginners and children.

The destination also features a high-performance golf academy, PGA Academy, equipped with video analysis technology and the TrackMan system, offering personalized programs led by specialized instructors. This further reinforces the commitment to education, technical excellence and the development of new golf talent.

The recognition of PGA Ocean’s 4 highlights the growing relevance of golf in the Caribbean, a trend reflected in official statistics. According to the Ministry of Tourism, the Dominican Republic attracts between 250,000 and 300,000 golfers annually, figures that position the country as a globally renowned golf destination and justify continued investment in top-tier facilities.

Carlos De Linares, Director of PGA Ocean’s 4, stated: “Seeing PGA Ocean’s 4 establish itself as a leading golf destination in the Caribbean is extremely rewarding. This achievement is based on a winning combination: a cutting-edge course that maximizes natural beauty and a world-class team committed to delivering an exceptional and unforgettable experience to every visitor.

Meanwhile, in Mexico, Tulum Country Club has been awarded “Latin America’s Best Golf Real Estate Venue 2025.” This leadership is further strengthened by PGA Riviera Maya (Mexico), which was named “Mexico’s Best Golf Course 2025” for the second consecutive year.

These recognitions underscore the success of Grupo Piñero’s Real Estate & Golf division strategy, focused on driving the development and growth of golf in the Caribbean.
